Obie is a 5-year-old dachshund with weight issues. His former owners could not care for him anymore. But now he's in a new home and on a weight loss program. The goal is for this little guy to lose about 40 pounds. His current weight is 77 pounds.

Poor doggie! Replace dog treats with carrots, bananas, broccoli, green beans -- doxies LOVE food but feeding a doxie and letting it get out of control like this is animal abuse. My doxie weighs 17 lbs., ideal weight for a tweenie doxie.
