"Not a game. Not a game. Not a game. We talkin' about practice."
It was 10 years ago today that former 76ers point guard Allen Iverson gave us all a lesson on practice. There were high hopes for the Sixers entering the 2001-2002 season after making it to the NBA Finals the previous year. However, they were knocked out of the playoffs in the first round - that after a rough season. Then head coach Larry Brown criticized his star point guard for missing practice. The now infamous quote came during a press conference when Iverson was asked about Brown's comments.
Let's also not forget about the now almost as famous remix of the "practice" rant by DJ Steve Porter.
