This mesmerizing time lapse of Earth's Northern Hemisphere was taken by Electro-L, a geostationary satellite orbiting 40000 kilometers above our planet. According to the post, the satellite creates a 121 megapixel image every 30 minutes with four visible and infrared light wavelengths - the infrared light appearing as orange in the video, represents vegetation.
